New Web Site Is Here!

Winston Churchill once said, “To improve is to change. To be perfect is to change often.”  So, with that ethos of striving for perfection, welcome to the new Albuquerque Isotopes web site!

If you’re a long-time visitor to, you no doubt will notice a few drastic changes to the site.  We are excited to have teamed up with Major League Baseball Advanced Media and have joined the Minor League Baseball network.  We feel like this will create a great synergy between the Isotopes, Minor League Baseball, and Major League Baseball, providing ‘Topes fans up-to-the-minute information spanning throughout the baseball world.  On the new and improved web site, you’ll find all the things you came to expect on the old site and much more, including detailed player information, latest roster transactions as they happen, and even the chance to stream ‘Topes home games right on the your computer.

Of course, another fun feature is this blog, which we feel will open up a great line of communication between the Isotopes and their fans.  It is completely managed by the ‘Topes’ front office, so you know the information is legitimate and we hope that you will take the time to offer your opinions throughout the season.  We promise, they will be read.  You also have our pledge that the blog will be updated frequently in an effort to give you the absolute latest goings-on with respect to the Isotopes.

When launching a blog like this, it’s helpful to have a terrific example produced by the parent club to emulate and the Dodgers have one of the very best around.  If you haven’t already, definitely check out Dodgers Insider, it truly is one of the best in the business and exactly what we’re striving for in this forum.

So, with Opening Day (April 9) fast approaching, check back often to this site to get up to date on all things ‘Topes!

Hey Folks, I’ve been hearing a bunch of rumors, just wondering if anything will be changing this year other than affiliation, i.e., colors, logo, etc?

I am really excited about the partnership between the Dodgers and Isotopes. I am a huge Dodger fan who grew up in Albuquerque. I love going to Isotope games, I think it will be an even better experience now that the Dodgers are now part of Albuquerque baseball again. It will bring back the tradition that I grew up with. Thank you for bringing back the Dodgers! I am ready for the 2009 season to start.

Thanks for all the great feedback on the web site! It’s a work in progress, so if you can think of anything that would make it better, we’re all ears!

To the point made above by shea79, those rumors are false. Aside from a few new little wrinkles (i.e. Sunday Dodger Blue Jersey– More on those to come next week) the Isotopes name, colors, and logo will be remaining the same for a long time to come. Since its creation in 2003, the Isotopes brand has consistently been one of the most popular in baseball and if it isn’t broke…. well, you know the rest.

Again, thanks a lot for visiting the new and improved and thanks as well for stopping by the ‘Topes Tattler!

I am glad to see this blog, I’m sure it will keep us “out of towners” more abreast to the happenings of Dodger players on the Triple A farm team.
    Thank you very much.

Thanks for the response — glad to hear the news and looking forward to the Sunday’s! Maybe something DodgerDog-esque might work as well. Til the first pitch…

The people of New Mexico and Albuquerque have had a love fest for Dodger baseball for years. We are proud and happy to bring that dynamic tradition back to our Land of Enchantment. I think bugs bunny was right when he said he made,”the wrong turn in ‘Albuquerque.” Now the Dodgers will have a great new park to play in, best in the PCL and a warm tradition of Albuquerque.
